Obviously, to avoid an online degree disaster it's important to be sure the degree you're considering comes from a properly accredited program that will be accepted by potential employers when you graduate.
However, there are other considerations when researching the quality of a particular online business degree and whether it truly suits your needs.
Social media networks can be a great way to resarch the quality of an online degree program first by asking your own friends/followers/connections on Facebook/Twitter/LinkedIn etc. what their experiences with a particular degree program might be.
Perhaps those friends/followers/connections may in turn know others who have had experiences, both positive and negative, they can share. Ask your friends to connect you to others they know with useful feedback and learn more about your prospective online degree program while you grow your network.
But that's not all! Social media networks such as Facebook and LinkedIn also have groups dedicated to providing information and feedback about online degrees or helping build networks of professionals with online degrees.
These groups are often user driven and membership must be approved by a site administrator but getting connected could help provide insight into the kinds of online business and other degrees available and the feedback from those with some level of experience in each program.
