The city that spawned John Lennon and The Beatles now has another global claim to fame: online MBA and other distance learning programs from the University of Liverpool.

Caroline Norman of Devon is now halway through her online Masters of Business Administration program at the university including eight modules eight weeks in length each plus a six to nine month dissertation stage.
Students have four years to complete the program and can work at their own pace, says Norman.
For her, this flexbility is key.
The popularity of online business degrees has been, in part the flexibility of their schedule along with convenience and cost allowing students to complete courses on their own time table often around full-time jobs and other pursuits and without the need to commute to the nearest college for classes requiring additional time and cost.
Norman is Passenger Services Manager for P&O Cruises and spends much of her time at sea after a series of jobs following her graduation with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Catering Management from the University Of Gloucestershire in 2000.
She's hopeful her new masters degree will open new career opporunities. For more on the benefits of online degrees see "Seven Reasons to Get Your College Degree Online" and read the rest of Caroline's online degree interview at the Study 2U Blog.
